Process
Create in wax
The jewellery is carefully carved in wax by an artisan in a mould or carved in wax.
Take a mold
The wax piece is cast using a perfect "investment" mould to solidify via a silicon type mould, from the first which allows the "creation" has to be reproduced.
Build a tree
The wax duplicates of all the moulds are melted on a wax "runner" or a wax "sprue".
Invest
The wax tree is encased in plaster‑like material before it is placed in the kiln. The investment material fills the cavity of the mould and adds rigidity.
Burnout
The invested mould is turned upside down and placed in a kiln at burnout. This burns out the wax, which liquefies and runs out, leaving a cavity in the mould for pouring in the metal.
Pour
The mould heats up to the right temperature from the kiln before it's filled by the molten metal from a crucible. This is controlled, keeping the precious metal.
Quenching & divesting
Immerse the flask in cold water to harden the metal and dissolve the investment.
Clip and clean
The casting is clipped off the tree and scrubbed along with the tree. Allow a steam clean to fill which sometimes causes marks to break to reach shine.
Buffing and polishing
Smooth out any surface scratches or blemishes. A combination of a dedicated buffing stone and a polishing compound is applied.
Magnetic polishing
Run the parts inside a magnetic machine to remove any tarnish and freshens the jewellery's surfaces.
Diamond settings
Mount it firmly, carefully with diamond in its place. Keep ensuring precision and diameter is correct.
Final polishing & gold plating finishing
The quality control process has polished for them. Followed by an ultra‑fine polishing before applying the final coating for longevity.
Quality assurance
Every piece of jewellery is inspected before it goes out to make sure it is correct and fully complete before shipping there.
